COURT CARDS of the MINOR ARCANA | ||||||||
|   |
Court cards in a reading almost always indicate people that are or have been in the
Querent's life. They can also
indicate the probable personality tratis of someone about to come into the Querent's
life or the Querent themself.
Court cards can also symbolize events, for instance, Pages can
indicate a "message" and Knights a "movement" or a "trip."
Through Zodiac symbols one can tell which kind
of person each court card represents. For example, the Queen of Wands
is a Leo. The pentacle court card which
has a field of wheat in it is undoubtedly Virgo,
whether it is King, Queen or Knight.
The Kings are the motivating force (Fire = the sun waking up the sleeping Earth). The Queens are the ones who enable things that can grow, to do so (water = rain bringing forth life from the earth). The Knights spread the idea of the Kingdom (wind = spreading the seeds). The Pages are the fertile soil from which all things grow.
